Michael A. Olguin is known to travel more than a Jet Blue flight attendant, bleed SDSU Aztec Red & Black and enjoy taking his '65 Chevy Malibu for a spin with the top down in San Diego. An avid runner, he has completed seven marathons, yet he knows his way around a nice bottle of scotch and a Cuban cigar.
With more than 30 years of marketing experience, Michael founded Havas Formula in 1992 as a national public relations boutique agency. Overseeing more than 150 employees across 6 locations, Michael has marketed to some of the biggest brands in the world--Jaguar/Land Rover, Easton Sports, Prince Tennis, Cobra Puma Golf and Nestle. In 2014, Havas Formula was acquired by Havas and grew its position as one of the Top 50 PR agencies in the U.S. As a father to Eli Olguin, a Senior shortstop at IMG Academy, Michael has had the opportunity to learn first-hand the college recruiting process. Combined with his years of marketing experience, Michael believes he can facilitate student-athletes to get noticed in an overly saturated market thus Stolen Base Recruiting was born.
